Taylor Swift Threatens "Rage Fest" at Grammy Awards
After not performing at the Super Bowl last weekend, Taylor Swift announced on Tumblr that she will not be performing at the Grammy Awards this weekend. To be clear: there were no public performances from Taylor Swift last weekend, and there will be no public performances from her this weekend. She will, however, engage in a "rage fest."
In a Tumblr post titled "Grammy Talk," which is somehow not about talking to her grandmother, Taylor explains:
A lot of you have been asking about the Grammys this week and I just wanted to give you an update. I'm really excited to be nominated for 3 Grammys this year and even more excited that I'll be there having a dance party/rage fest in the audience. I will also be presenting the award for Best New Artist. Since my whole life is wrapped up and entangled in the planning of The 1989 World Tour right now, I'm not going to be performing on the Grammys this year. I need this time to focus only on the tour.
I hope I'll see you out there at one of the stadiums this summer having a rage fest of your own!
Taylor is nominated for three awards, she will be presenting one award, and she will rage, but she will not be performing at the Grammy Awards. Okay? Everybody clear?
Grammy Award attendees, please be advised to keep 10 feet away from Taylor Swift at the event at all times.
