Blog The Corsair comes across some chatter on the Howard Stern show's message board indicating that sidekick Artie Lange has quit Stern in favor of a sitcom (with TV writer/producer Sam Simon, with whom Lange had a script in development with DreamWorks and NBC last year) shooting immediately in L.A. Stern regular Sal the Stockbroker confirmed the rumor, first floated by a fan on the board, then finally contacts Stern to straighten things out.

Just hung up with howard. he said artie will be on the show next week and he is going to be on the show from mon to weds for the next 2 months. he will be doing the sitcom on wed to sat with rev bob and after jan he will either be back on the radio fulltime or doing the new sitcom fulltime.

Will Lange throw away unfettered access to Scores strippers for the somewhat less unfettered access to the Hollywood AMW pool afforded by sitcom stardom? Developing...
