1.) Chris Brown loves women.
He appeared on The Wendy Williams Show today to continue The Remorse Tour '09.

2.) The Unveiling of Charla Nash
Charla—who had her hands and face gruesomely torn off by her friend's pet chimp—was interviewed by Oprah this week. Her eyes were lost in the attack, so she hasn't seen what she looks like.

Also, while I generally love primates, the one who attacked Charla looks like an asshole.

3.) Slade's smiley

4.) Ben Affleck's cameo on Curb Your Enthusiasm
If you blink, you'll miss him.

5.) Tabloid stars collide

On The Insider this week, Jon Gosselin was giving Levi Johnston some "parenting advice." Earlier in the week on the same show, he went into some detail about his responsibility as a parent.

And he also talked shit on Kate's hair and kissing skills.

6.) Speaking of hair…
This kid has been suspended from school for getting an elaborate design shaved into his head. He is not allowed to return unless he shaves the rest of his head. His parents are supporting his "freedom of expression." Judging from the way he speaks, this kid needs a lot more school, and a little less expression.

7.) Men blame everything on our periods!

8.) This:

9.) Stephanie Pratt is growing on me.

10.) "It's important for women to stick together."
Faux-minism is not the answer for tackling double standards, when you don't even know what "double standards" are.

<![CDATA[ Aaand He's Out! When we last checked in...]]> Aaand He's Out! When we last checked in on Travis Barker, he'd extended a healing middle finger to the camera while reassuring fans that he'd be released from the hospital soon. Looks like that came even faster than he'd anticipated — the rocker was discharged from Sherman Oaks' Grossman Burn Center today. Upon hearing the news, negligent ex-wife Shanna Moakler ducked into the dressing room at Maxfield to cannily whisper into her cell phone, "Trav? Babe? I'm at the hospital, where are you?" [E!]

<![CDATA[Travis Barker Not a Fan of Hospital Life, Ex-Wife Shanna Moakler]]> Though DJ AM was recently welcomed back to Hollywood with a bash fit for our putative next president, his friend Travis Barker remains in the hospital, still recovering from burns sustained from the plane crash that took the lives of their friends. Barker just took to Myspace to update his fans, extending both kudos to the hospital staff and a middle finger to hospital life in general. Also deserving of Barker's burned digit? The ex-wife who's begun to incur his ire, Shanna Moakler.

Though press reports said Moakler flew to be with Barker when he was still in a Georgia burn unit, Barker complained (in a missive that was later edited out of his Myspace blog entry) that she hadn't been to visit him since he was moved to an LA hospital earlier this month. Now, the never press-shy Moakler is brushing off those comments and claiming that she was almost on that fateful flight:

"I was supposed to go with [Travis] to South Carolina, and at the last minute, I had this gnarly feeling and said, 'I don't think we should fly together anymore,' " she told [Us] in its October 17 issue, which hits stands Friday. "God forbid something ever happened ... our kids wouldn't have both parents. Instead of flying a commercial flight back home, they decided to take a private jet. He e-mailed me pictures of the plane and wrote, 'It's really small and scary.' I had a bad feeling, but didn't want to sound strange, so I said, 'Be safe.' "

...At the end of the interview, Moakler briefly addresses Barker's comment in a recent MySpace blog that he hasn't seen her since "the week [he] checked in," saying that she was "deeply hurt" by the comment, but that the couple share "a love that will always be there."

"Trav and I are so crazy. We are off for one week, on the next," she said.

Yes, indeed, what an acute case of amour fou that keeps you from visiting someone you love in the hospital! We'll be sure to try that next time we forget a birthday or miss an appointment: "Sorry, hon: I was too busy giving quotes to Us Weekly to provide important moral support. You know how it is. Our love is so crazy!"

<![CDATA[ Well Wishes: Nine days after the tragic...]]> Well Wishes: Nine days after the tragic plane crash that left four dead, Travis Barker was released from the hospital this morning and is apparently headed home to Los Angeles. A spokesperson for the hospital told People that Barker was in "good condition." The drummer, 32, was being treated for burns on his torso and lower body at Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. The only other survivor, DJ AM, wasreleased Friday. That same day, he updated his Facebook page to read, "Adam Goldstein [AM's real name] is the luckiest guy alive." Thankfully, both Barker and AM are expected to fully recover from their injuries. Good thoughts to both. [MTV News]

<![CDATA[Following Plane Crash, Travis Barker and DJ AM Expected to Recover]]> After the Friday morning jet crash that killed four people and left musicians Travis Barker and DJ AM badly burned and hospitalized, some good news: though both men are still in critical condition, the medical director of the Georgia burn center where they are being treated says they are expected to make full recoveries.

Barker has burns on his torso and lower body and Goldstein has burns on his arm and part of his head, Mullins said. (Mullins would not say the percentage of their bodies that were burned or whether they were conscious. He also did not go into detail about the type of treatment they are currently receiving.)

According to People, a blown tire is being blamed for the accident:

"The cockpit voice recorder went on for two hours, but the last 18 minutes were most pertinent, because those words proved that it was a tire blowout that [may have] caused the crash killing four people," Debbie Hersman, board member of the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, D.C., tells PEOPLE.

"After getting their clearance from Air Traffic Control, the plane only got 80 knots on the 8,600-foot runway before the incident," she said.

...The crew tried to abort takeoff, the recording stated, and there were many background and impact sounds on the tape. The voice tapes from the control tower were equally revealing.

"The Air Traffic Control tapes stated that they gave the crew clearance to depart, as well as the wind speeds," said Hersman, who is in Columbia with 11 other investigators from the NTSB.

"The tapes went on to say they saw sparks and heard the crew on the plane explaining that they were going off of the runway," she said.

One of the victims was Chris Baker, Barker's assistant, though initial rumors that said the jet was chartered so that he could fly back to his pregnant wife's bedside have been proven false. Barker's ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, and AM's ex-girlfriend, Mandy Moore, have flown to the men's bedsides.

We'll keep you updated, but hopefully, things will only get better from here.
