Scary Movie 4 1/2: David Zucker's Fair And Balanced View Of Democratic Dictator Appeasement

According to the Drudge Report, Naked Gun/Scary Movie 3 through 29 director David Zucker whipped up this charming video of then-Secretary of State Madeline Albright's 2000 visit to North Korea for Republican use in the 2006 campaign season. Unfortunately, however, it seems that some strategists didn't have the stomach for Zucker's wacky brand of Democrat-bashing:

One GOP strategist said "jaws dropped" when the ad was first viewed. "Nobody could believe Zucker thought any political organization could use this ad. It makes a point, but it's way over the top."

Frankly, we find it admirably restrained. "Way over the top" would have entailed Zucker casting longtime muse Leslie Nielsen in the Albright role, then not tastefully cutting away from the Democrat-induced AK-47 basketball game massacre.
