'Real World' Admits It's Better With Body Shots

· After a queerific if largely unfabulous stay in Brooklyn, the next season of MTV's The Real World is heading to Cancun to tackle the overstuffed-hot-tub issues facing today's spring-breaking youth. [THR]

· The Motion Picture Sound Editors have nominated Australia, Slumdog Millionaire, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Dark Knight and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the 56th annual Golden Reel Awards. Shut out once more: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, who can't even get fuckin' foley love. [Variety]
· Blown Away and Windtalkers writer John Rice will make his directorial debut on Stan's Cup, a hockey comedy with "a Full Monty vibe," suggesting the cup in question will likely protect Stan's full, frozen monty on the ice. [THR]
· United Artists, flush with cachet and clout following the international success of Valkyrie, has gone on a hiring spree! They now boast literary scout Claire Lundberg, formerly of Scott Rudin Productions, brought on to find new, plunder-worthy material. Already in the pipeline: Valkyrie writer Christopher McQuarrie adapting The Monster of Florence; Paul Haggis and Alissa Haggis adapting Ranger's Apprentice; Charles Randolph adapting The Birthday Party; and Jose Rivera working on On the Road. Tom Cruise will star as a one-handed Nazi-killer in all of them. [THR]
