Nothing good can follow in a story that begins thusly: "The scent of money was in the mountain air. Walt Disney Co. Chief Executive Michael Eisner had come to the resort town of Sun Valley, Idaho, with his company's wallet wide open — a risky move at a gathering of voracious moguls."

Of course, it doesn't end in anything hot, like Eisner being kicked to the ground, his wallet emptied by taunting moguls who then play keep-away with one of his Bruno Maglis. Lil Ne'er Do Well Eisner just winds up grossly overpaying for the Fox Family cable channel, now floundering under the heart-flutteringly creative ABC Family moniker. But according to the LAT article, the embattled CEO is still throwing his support behind the channel. "The Family Channel...is the definition of a dog in the minds of everyone in this room, which is turning into a show dog," said Eisner. He continued, "And you know what we do with show dogs at Disney? We dress them in pink taffeta skirts and we bang them until money comes out of their ears. Eventually it does, I promise you, and in the meantime it's a hell of a ride!"
